Online Event: Québécois Cooking Experience: 60 Minutes for All Levels

Seattle French Mon, Jun 15, 6:00 PM (PDT)

About this event

Bienvenue à Nage-Libre! Come make a sweet treat with us from the Land of Maple Syrup! We'll make a pouding chomeur together: a sort of pudding pie that resembles an angel food cake. Be sure to bring all the required ingredients listed below and set your laptop or mobile device up somewhere we can (safely) see you as we do our prep! We'll share the recipe and do the preparation and mixing steps together. You'll need to boil some ingredients for a few minutes. Then we'll describe the next steps so you can leave Zoom to bake and enjoy your treat! Stovetop and oven required.

Please try to divide/measure your ingredients into the required amounts before the session.

1 cup water

1½ cup white flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ cup of butter

1 cup of white sugar

1 cup of milk

1 cup of maple syrup

1 cup of brown sugar

¼ tsp of vanilla

Electric mixer (handheld)

1 pyrex/baking dish for oven: 9" x 13"

Various bowls to mix things

1 sauce pan

6:00 - Introductions

6:10 - Prepare your recipe for cooking

7:00 - Wrap-Up*

*Please note that we may go over the allotted time to continue the recipe, however you're welcome to leave whenever you like. We will summarize with instructions on how to finish up on your own.

Please note that the entry into the zoom meeting will be closed after 10 minutes after the start time.

Please note that our event is based on Seattle: Pacific Standard Time.
