Pizza and Swedish

Denver Swedish
Dec. 11, 2018, 7 p.m.

About this event

Join us at Anthony's on Colorado and 7th for an end of fall, "why-does-it-have-to-be-winter-unless-you-like-the-cold-in-which-case-celebrate" slice of pizza. We'll share stories of our Thanksgivings, Christmas and Winter plans, and practice Swedish over dinner at this great Denver based pizza chain. This month, we'll be focusing on sharing our favorite Swedish phrases either used by native Swedes (like "ingen ko på isen - don't worry, at least there's not a cow on the ice) or weird things duolingo has taught us like this actual duolingo sentence: "varför ligger det en norsk arkitekt i min sang?"

Beginners welcome! (None of us are fluent, just lovers of all things Swedish)

Keep an eye out for our Swedish flag and Bjorn the troll to help spot us in the cafe. Wear the Swedish blue and yellow colors to help us spot each other more easily and show that Svenska pride.

When: December 11th @ 7:00 PM at Anthony's Pizza

Where: Anthony's Pizza, 700 Colorado Blvd Unit C

Pizza, subs, salads, sweets, and drinks are available for purchase in the cafe, however, feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks.

Can't make it? Contact us with questions or ideas and follow the Denver Swedish Club on our social media pages on Instagram @denverswedishclub and at Facebook.com/denverswedishclub
